While both program evaluation and institutional research may include
data analysis, some clients already have data collected, but need help
crunching the numbers. CRC can also coach staff on data analysis so that
these efforts can be internalized. Clients are often consulting firms
who need additional support in statistical analysis. Examples of CRC’s
statistics work are described below:
Diversity Assessment Surveys: Analyzed online surveys for
students, faculty, and staff about diversity issues on campus.
Faculty Perception Survey: Analyzed and presented data from
faculty surveys related to satisfaction with current administration,
teaching practices, or work environment.
First-time Pass Rate Analysis: Worked directly with the school’s
technology department to export student data based on the questions
presented. Analyzed student data to determine students at risk of
failing the bar exam on their first attempt. Statistically compared pass
rates and mean MBE scores for specified groups of students. Students may
be identified based on variables including course selection, incoming
profile, and demographics.
Logistic Modeling: Created regression models to help client
create financial aid packaging for private colleges. These models are an
integral part of a larger service that a boutique consulting firm
provides to its clients.
