Answering questions related to a school’s student body can help
institutions tailor services, communication, and resources. The scope of
these projects depends on the number of questions, the availability of
data, and how you’d like the answers presented. Examples of CRC’s
institutional research work are described below:
Understanding Non-matriculant Behavior: Coordinated phone surveys
of targeted groups of non-matriculants to better understand reasons for
not choosing the school.
Campus Visit Program Evaluation: Designed online surveys for all
types of campus visitors and created an analysis plan based on timing
and type of visit.
First-time Pass Rate Analysis: Helped schools identify students
who are at risk of failing the bar exam on their first attempt.
Statistically compared pass rates and mean MBE scores for specified
groups of students. Students were identified based on variables
including course selection, incoming profile, and demographics.
Alumni Perception Survey: Created alumni survey based on the
needs of the college’s administration. Analyzed and presented data from
alumni surveys related to satisfaction, employment, and giving
practices.
Student Satisfaction Surveys & Focus Groups: Conducted survey and
focus groups to delve further into issues raised by other measures of
satisfaction and student engagement.
